Undertheleaves
Christy Zuccarini

cherry print and soft flower printA few weeks ago, I bought this cherry print on etsy for Virginia, one of my best friends (read her story on how to build the perfect sandcastle!). She loves cherries and since we had just redecorated her home office, I thought this was the perfect thing for her walls. She loved it.

When I ordered it Christy kindly let me choose a free 4x6 print. And let me tell you, after framing my free “soft” print this past weekend, it’s almost like a tiny little miracle happened in my apartment. I put a thick white matte around it and used a natural wood frame so that the wood picks up the tones of the yellow flowers. Then, I swapped out a picture that had been on my walls since I moved in and instantly my place felt lighter, more spacious, and more cheerful. It was the least expensive upgrade I could have imagined!

Christy’s photos are obviously lovely, but she also makes jewelry—which she started selling for snack money after her parents brought home a jar of vintage beads from a flea market when she was a kid—which you can see at her forqueenvictoria shop. And she just started the Baltimore by Hand blog for the Balitmore Sun where she covers the indie craft scene. I can’t wait to see who she discovers because I definitely trust her style!

My cherry print and Amy's yellow flowers are both even more fabulous in person! I haven't found a frame yet, so I'm just keeping it propped up on my desk so I can enjoy it in the meantime. It's the best mid-deadline-pick-me-up.
